Jeff Crompton
Uncommon Goals
One from the vaults. Jeff’s first CD from 1992, produced, as one review said at the time, “on a shoestring and a prayer.” Almost 20 years later, I’m not satisfied with the sound, but find that most of the music holds up very well. Uncommon Goalshas the only issued recordings by the Bazooka Ants, the only recording of Lennie Tristano’s “Turkish Mambo” since Tristano’s original,
and two tracks by the legendary pianist/composer Michael J. Smith and his short-lived Atlanta quintet.
"Thank you for the CD. You and Michael did a good job together!
Stay
on it!"
